Artist statement:
Growing up, gift-giving was super important to me, and I always searched for the feeling after giving someone something I designed for them. The look of joy fueled my feelings of accomplishment and added meaning to the creative projects I produced. I chose this path to help pursue my goal of lifting others in a creative way. Art to me has always been a safe place to explore emotion and a tangible way to create joy. Seeing incredible artists like Claude Monet, Van Gogh, and Jonas Wood remind me of what inspires me other then the after effects of giving art.The emotions that art can evoke, human nature, and the natural world have always inspired me, and that is reflected in my art. Other inspiration I draw from are in collaborating and learning from other’s experiences, so I try to incorporate that into my artistic vision. Since I am still a student, I am always excited to try more genres as projects progress, and as I am finding my artistic voice, the styles I lean toward are realism and illustrative clean line work.
I aspire to create long-lasting personalized art to beautify and add meaning to spaces.
